These sculptures inspired by the incredible eyes of the White Java Sparrow were made with encaustic wax on clay. They would add a modern touch to any decor.
While beautiful and vibrant, encaustic wax pieces are ideal for decorative use where they will not receive too much heat. Due to the properties of wax, if a piece receives too much sunlight, is placed right next to a warm light bulb, or used to store food, this can cause melting of the finish.
